Start of May holiday
Posted by John on April 29th, 2006
Today we had a nice warm day, just in time for the May holiday. Becky had an ultrasound, and we got to see Logan’s face a little bit. It’s not all very clear, but we did see his nose pretty well. Becky says it looks like mine. Bah?!
We had a nice lunch at DaMarco’s, our favorite Italian restaurant. I still prefer italian food for a very nice meal. And the desserts are awesome!! I had profiterol, which I hadn’t had in years! I remember when I was in Italy, sometimes my parents would get a big box of profiterols, with at least 30 of them, and I would sneak in the kitchen, grab a fork and eat one or two from the fridge. Becky loves the lemon sobertto, but today we also tried the ananas (pineapple) sorbetto. That’s become her new favorite.
In the evening we had a light dinner, and watched a movie. Just a nice relaxing day. Felt very good.

The ultrasound! The hospital that we go to has a very advanced one, and we could see Logan’s shape very clearly when he was only about 4.7 cm. That was months ago. Yesterday we did an ultrasound and saw half of his face! I was so happy and really wanted to kiss his cheek. His hand was hiding his face but we got to see the left side of his face (I think it was the left…) Sooo cuuuuuuute! ^_^ Heh heh, of course, to me, he’s the cutest baby ever. The doctor took his time to examine everything. Logan’s probably not gonna like me sharing this info, but, ha ha, we got to see his balls. Hee hee!!! The doctor was funny. He even typed in “boy” and used the cursor to point at them and had the image printed out for us. And he pointed at them on the screen and counted for us that there were two. Dr. Kuo had never shown his funny side before this. I was sooo smiley, very proud and happy to be blessed with a beautiful and healthy boy. To our surprise, Logan is one week smaller! I had always hoped that he’d be a little smaller so that it’ll be easier for me to give birth, but yesterday when we were told, I was a bit worried. The doctor assured me that this is entirely fine and Logan’s healthy. Could it be that Logan really understood my fears and just decided to stay smaller while inside my womb even though I’ve been eating like an elephant all these months?! Only 3 or so more weeks to go until he’s due to make his debut. I pray that he’ll continue to be healthy and safe throughout his life. He is so precious to John and me, and to God too!!! ^_^
Yey, the holidays this week! I get to spend it all with the 2 people that I love the most! ^_^
