Tags and Categories

Posted by John on May 9th, 2006

I have installed a plugin that enables me to add tags to my posts, which is different from categories. Category is the type of post, for example this is a post about my webiste, so its category is “Site Updates”. You can also subscribe to individual categories.

Tags are keywords that describe the specific content of the post. For example this post is about tags and categories. Each post will have a list of tags at the bottom, and you can click on each tag to see other posts with the same tag.

At the moment there are only a few tags, but in the next few days I will try to add tags to all my previous posts. Once I am done, you will be able to navigate my archive through tags, check out the Tag Archive page.

The idea of tagging is nice. I should use it in my photoblog but at the moment my script (Pixelpost) doesn’t seem to support this feature (although I did not browse all available addons).
