Podcast Purge

I am borrowing an idea from Augie De Blieck Jr.’s Pipeline Comics Commentary and Reviews, called the comics purge, and apply it to my podcast subscriptions. The original idea was to reduce Augie’s comics subscription list, because it got so big that he could not keep up reading all his purchased comics. So he cut all series he wasn’t really interested in, and sometimes switched from the monthly series to the annual collection.
I want to apply this concept to my podcast subscriptions. Currently I can barely listen to all podcasts I get, sometimes I just skip a few to get some air to breath. However with the imminent arrival of Logan, I will have even less time to listen to podcasts, so I am going to cut down my list.
So far I managed to cut it from 58 podcasts (43hrs of regular hours per week) to 38 (32hrs of regular hours per week). Some of the podcasts I was interested in, but in the end I rarely paid attention to them, I just left them on as background noise.
I am gonna try the new list for a week, and see how much I can listen to. 38 podcasts still feels a lot, but looking at the list I really don’t know what to cut.

[...] This allowed me to keep up with my podcast subscriptions (thanks also to the recent purge). And I had time to listen to more, so I started listening to a Podiobook. This is simply an audio book, which is delivered via an RSS feed just like podcasts. It is also completely free! You can set how often you want to receive a new chapter (every day, week, month etc…), or even download all chapters at once. If you are interested please go to Podiobooks.com [...]
